West Sands Beach, St Andrews

St Andrews, Scotland is a beautiful place to visit especially during the summer months. It is one of the most lively and finest towns in Europe and is a place of historical importance, learning and culture. What else, it is the World's home of Golf and is a proud home to the West Sands Beach that served as the set for the opening scene in the movie Chariots of Fire.

The beach was also featured in the 2012 Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony and is adjacent to the famous St Andrews Links golf course.

    1. Hi Mridula,
Edinburgh is a wonderful and lively city to explore too. However, if St Andrews catches the visitors attraction being the birthplace of the game of golf. I am still in the build-up phase for the St Andrews blog post and will keep you updated with more of my travel photographs.

      Happy Travelling
